Our Founder & Executive Director, Dr. Angelica “Gel” Cortez recently sat down with the amazing folks @krystletugadi and @itsdustindom of @mesearchpodcast to discuss the history and implications of the Supreme Court’s decision on Affirmative Action and specifically the nuances, dynamics, and contours of the Affirmative Action conversation in FilAm and broader Asian American communities.

Dr. Gel shares her experiences advocating for holistic reviews, diversity and inclusion policies, and equitable workplace practices in light of California voters banning Affirmative Action in 1996 – and the implications for the future in both public and private education, employment and contracting. And further, what our organization is doing around broader calls for justice, equity, diversity, and leveling the playing field.
