Curry Nuñez will be honored at the Awards Gala in the Julia Morgan Ballroom at San Francisco’s historic Merchants Exchange Building during the 21st Filipina Leadership Global Summit, October 26-31, 2025.

PROVEN RESULTS DRIVE SELECTION

Curry Nuñez was chosen from a competitive international field for her exceptional work in education, including leading an effective cradle-to-career collective impact network since 2020, and partnering with local elected officials to launch an Education Cities Initiative across California. Her selection reflects FWN’s rigorous merit-based evaluation process, examining actual outcomes and performance metrics. Curry Nuñez will receive the Builder: Architect of Change award for organizational transformation metrics and measurable growth results.

“This award represents a recognition not just of my efforts, but of the leadership of women in my family, like my mother Helena Melindo Curry, and the fly Pinays who helped raise me, like Tita Thelma Boac. I thank organizations like LEAD Filipino and WODEEF USA for allowing me to serve as Board Chair for missions that advance grassroots action and community wholeness for Filipino communities. I am grateful to FWN for highlighting my work, which focuses on education equity, economic mobility, and civic engagement. I am fortunate and humbled to have the opportunity to serve. Onward!” says Curry Nuñez.
