12.29.24 – Our 2024 Annual Look-Back-At-It Report

Dear Kasamas,

2024 was extraordinary, it was not only a presidential election year, but it also marked our 9th Anniversary which brought excitement and opportunities alongside lessons and learnings.

Like most of you, these past several weeks have been used for reflection and study. As a civic organization that ran a voter center and digital Get Out the Filipino Vote campaign this year, we are raising questions and seeking answers.

While 2024 was about driving the Filipina/x/o vote and strengthening our programs, our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers also focused internally on the sustainability of LEAD Filipino. We completed a strategic review of the organization and throughout 2025, will share our plans for the next decade of our impact.

As we close this chapter and look toward the next, I know that many communities we serve are fearful. I want to reiterate, in no uncertain terms, that our organization commits to defending and protecting the people we serve and represent, from immigrant to low-income, disabled community members, families and seniors, and LGBTQ+ and broader communities of color.
