OUR MISSION

With over 210,000 Filipinos living in Texas, we are one of the fastest-growing Asian American populations in the state. In San Antonio, where we’re proudly based, Filipinos are the largest Asian and Pacific Islander (AAPI) ethnic group. Our presence is strong, but our representation in leadership and policy remains limited.

Through local organizing, civic engagement, and cultural celebration, we’re building a future where Filipina/x/o Texans can lead boldly and live fully. Rooted in our mission, we create systems and provide programs that combine art, culture and power building to support our community in building civic pipelines, political knowledge, and economic development initiatives.

INITIATIVES

Monthly Meetings

Starting June 2025, we’ll be hosting monthly meetings and kwentuhans to share organization updates, build community, and engage in meaningful dialogue about issues that impact us.

Future Filipino strengthens democracy by combining civic education with an understanding of Filipino American contributions to civil and human rights, both past and present. Future Filipino is designed to prepare Filipino Americans for appointment to a board or commission within 6-9 months (or sooner) after completing the program. Our team offers comprehensive support throughout the application and nomination process, as well as assistance in building key relationships to ensure each candidate is fully prepared for service. Please stay updated on our social media or newsletter to apply for the next cohort!

Fly Pinays Leadership Summit TX 2026

Our Annual Fly Pinays Leadership Summit is a regional conference that engages ~150 Filipina women and girls in sisterhood, mentorship, and you guessed it — leadership. The Annual Fly Pinays Leadership Summit is held every March during Women’s Herstory Month.

We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing Fly Pinays to Texas in March 2026!
