WE GOT US: In a world where our strength lies not just in individual accomplishments but in the collective power of our community, the 8th Annual Fly Pinays Leadership Summit stands as a beacon of solidarity and empowerment. As we gather at Evergreen Valley College in San José, we acknowledge the diverse paths we’ve traveled and the unique experiences that shape our identities as Filipinas/xs/os. Our stories are a common thread of resilience and determination.
At this year’s summit, we’ll be diving into the themes such as intergenerational dialogue, embracing the wisdom passed down from our elders while paving the way for future generations. We’ll explore the intersections of our identities, recognizing that our struggles and triumphs are deeply intertwined with issues of race, gender, and culture. But beyond dialogue and exploration, we also need to prioritize healing and wellness. Let us honor the journey of self-discovery and self-care, recognizing that our well-being is not just a personal endeavor but a communal responsibility.
Through workshops, discussions, and shared experiences, we will nurture the eight aspects of wellness, cultivating a holistic approach to activism and advocacy. Whether you’re a student embarking on your journey, a seasoned professional blazing new trails, or anyone in between, this summit is for you. It’s an invitation to pause, reflect, and replenish our spirits so that we may continue to serve our communities with authenticity and compassion.
