3.30.23 – Register today for the 2023 Filipinx Advocacy Day

Register for our upcoming Filipinx Advocacy Day at the California State Capitol.

This is the largest convening of Filipina/x/o advocates, educators and community members that come together to advance our shared interests around education, health and human services, civil rights and police accountability.

We are delighted to announce our involvement in the Filipinx Igniting Engagement for Reimagining Collective Empowerment (FIERCE) Coalition’s 2023 Filipinx Advocacy Day at our State Capitol on Tuesday, April 25 with in-person and virtual meetings across our statewide membership of progressive FilAm nonprofits and community-based organizations (CBOs).

Our collective agenda is one that focuses on Ethnic Studies, Worker Rights, Economic Justice, and Public Safety in California. The Filipinx Advocacy Day will include legislative visits, power and community building activities, and learning for our Coalition members and FilAm youth, adults and families statewide.

MANDATORY FILIPINX ADVOCACY DAY TRAINING – APRIL 13

No previous advocacy experience is required to participate in this free event.

All we ask is that all participants attend a mandatory informational night and advocacy training with our Coalition on Thursday, April 13 from 6-8PM (PST). Registering below will confirm your participation in our training and Advocacy Day.

The Filipinx Advocacy Day is intended to be a positive and educational experience for our youth, adults and families, many of which have not visited the State Capitol in the context of sharing their personal stories and lived experiences before.
