6th Annual Queer Filipinx “Lakbay” Summit

June 6 | 2-7PM | Santa Clara University

Join us for a celebration of baklâ (a Tagalog term we are embracing to represent all LGBTQIA+ people) communities who are living life BIG and making bold moves at a time where systems and society are trying to make LGBTQIA+ people and communities of color invisible. Through inspiring speakers and connection-building activities, we will highlight the power of our community when we come together to create hope and remain critically engaged. 

Office of LBTQ+ Affairs Anniversary Flag Raising & Jeepney Jam | Queermittee Social Meet-Up

June 12 | 5-6:30PM & 7-9PM | San José, CA

Join our Queermittee for a social meet-up at the following two events from our partners, both on June 12, 2026! From 5:00-6:30pm we will be at the County of Santa Office of LGBTQ Affairs Pride Celebration (Lavender Graduation ceremony, community speakers, performances, resource fair) at McEntee Plaza, 70 W. Hedding St, San Jose, CA 95110. From 7-9pm we will be at FACTsj’s Jeepney Jam Philippine Independence Day Celebration (family friendly celebration of culture, community, and creativity) at Garden at the Flea, 1590 Berryessa Road, San Jose, CA 95133.

Continuing in our “Big, Bold, and Bakla: Power in Community” series of events, this Know Your Rights webinar will provide you with a general overview of the state of trans rights in the United States and equip you with information to help protect yourself and those around you during these challenging times. We take care of us! Content will center identities particularly under attack, including trans and nonbinary individuals and Filipinx and immigrant communities.

This webinar is intended for community members and service providers who want to increase their awareness of intimate partner violence (IPV), how it impacts LGBTQIA+ communities, and resources available for support. The content shared will be based on AACI’s advocacy approach and a survivor defined empowerment model. This webinar closes out our “Big, Bold, and Bakla: Power in Community” series of events with a focus on building communities of support.
