5.03.24 – Let’s Get Out the Filipino Vote this Summer!
We’re starting off May strong with the announcement of our local Get Out the Filipino Vote #GOTFV campaign! ✊🏽🗳️🌟
Starting in July 2024, we will be having monthly Voter Canvassing Training and Outreach Events to train canvassers and equip them with the tools and techniques to engage the Filipina/x/os and FilAm Voters in the South Bay on the weekend following the virtual weekday trainings
🌟 Community members of all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to join our efforts! This is your chance to effectively organize and activate our community leading up to this historic election year

📋🏘️Canvassing Days
Canvassing Days will take place in-person the same weekend following the virtual Outreach Trainings. ·They will be on Saturdays from 9am -12pm. Utilizing the skills taught during our virtual Outreach Training, volunteers will be out in the community registering voters in target neighborhoods with high concentrations of Filipina/x/o and FilAm residents.
CANVASSING DATES
- Wednesday, October 2 from 7-8PM PST [Phone Banking]
❕Water and snacks will be provided, but we anticipate high temperatures during the Canvassing Days so prepare accordingly!
The General Election is on Tuesday, November 5th and the last day to register to vote is on October 21st, 2024. There’s still time to make an impact, especially at the local level where there were multiple races with less than a 1% difference getting candidates in the ballot. Voter turnout in Santa Clara Valley was at 37.39% – let’s get this number up for November!
