
Throughout 2023, our Holistic Healing Program will feature monthly health and cultural workshops on topics of relevance to Filipino food and diet, healthy relationships, intergenerational mental and emotional health, personal introspection and wellness practices.
Launch the year with LEAD Filipino members and families with incorporating mindfulness and wellness practice into your daily lifestyle.
We will be sharing various tips and tricks to practice mindfulness, move our bodies, and lastly, create vision boards for attendees to keep track of their progress. This workshop is in partnership with Asian American Community Involvement (AACI).
3 Takeaways for our Attendees:
- Have participants leave with at least 1-2 new oppurtunities to incorperate health and wellbeing into their daily routine
- Have participants complete 50% of a vision board template we will be providing
- Build community with other participants and enjoy each other’s company
About your Workshop Facilitator:
Jenn Cayanan graduated with a B.S. in Public Health and a minor in Asian American Studies from San Jos State University in the Fall of 2019. Jenn currently works at Heluna Health for the California Department of Public Health. Jenn has been organizing with LEAD Filipino since 2017, primarily through Fly Pinays and Awareness in Action, Lola’s Scholarship, and is excited to be a director for the Community Health Initiatives. Her passion and love are deeply rooted in serving the Filipinx/a/o American community through organizing with LEAD Filipino, Fil-CHA, and as co-founder of the Pilipinx American Public Health Conference.
