We’re proud to stand alongside our community partners in our joint work to defend and protect Filipina/o domestic caregivers and service-level workers that face exploitative and abusive practices that, more times than not, go unreported and undetected.
We know that a net 6,000 Filipinas/os leave the Philippines every day. Their departures are purely economic decisions, as employment opportunities in our home country are close to nil.
Later this month, on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00am-2:00pm, we’ll be supporting the coordination of a free Legal Clinic, being put on by PAWIS, FBANC, SCU’s Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center, Anakbayan SV, FALS and the Sunnyhills United Methodist Church.
If you know someone that could benefit from a free 30-45 minute legal consultation in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Immigration and Tenant Rights/Renter’s Rights, please refer them to the contact and registration information displayed above or:
