Combine the 21st Century with the sheer fact of residing in the South Bay/Silicon Valley, and you’re in the epicenter of technological advancement, where emerging conversations of driverless cars, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality are now the norm. We live in the globe’s locus, where the innovative economy thrives on acceleration, breakthroughs, and inventions.
While most of us are not founders and CEOs of tech startups, many of us can relate to the mental, emotional, and psychical stamina we need to survive in the demands of today’s job market, housing affordability, and overall, the rising costs of living in an urbanized area that is the SF Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and other neighboring communities.
LEAD Filipino emphasizes a core tenet throughout our programs and advocacy, which is the necessity of keeping mind, body and soul, intact and healthy to be and give your best to what you love. In this vein, we will conduct a Community Tour on Saturday, August 26th with the leaders and staff of the Filipino Mental Health Initiative (FMHI) in San Francisco as we wade through the conditions, causes, and cultural nuances of deconstructing the stigmas of Mental Health and learning of the resources to Filipino/a communities.
We hope that you will join us on this free Community event.
