We were honored to support the Barbara Lee and Elihu Harris Lecture Series, which was co-presented by the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Center, to feature California Attorney General Rob Bonta on the importance of “People Driven Movements” in celebration of cross-racial solidarity and observance of Black History Month!

AG Bonta’s remarks that we can’t “hope” for things and that we instead, need to fight for them, were salient and resonant for our team.

The other speakers were dynamic and inspiring as well.
One of the previous students of the MLK Freedom Center came from Illinois to share her leadership journey from being a student leader to becoming one of the assistant directors in Illinois.
