Spring Training Applications Open in March 2021. Check back later.
Coined and developed by Jay Page, one of our founding organizers and former Education Programs Director, our Annual Spring Training is our organization’s required “Train the Trainer” program that prepares individuals that seek to teach in our summer Awareness in Action Program (AAP). The Spring Training generally takes place from March-May each year.
A seven-week series, averaging 2.5 hour sessions once per week, the Annual Spring Training covers:
- Multidisciplinary theories on individual learning and motivation
- Facilitation styles
- Public speaking
- Tech-based instructional modalities
- The current AAP curriculum
- And asks participants to develop workshops and facilitate their cohort members in interactive sessions, on a topic of their choice.
The Spring Training is taught by Gel Cortez (EdD ’21) and educators in LEAD Filipino’s network of practitioners, scholar activists, and nonprofit leaders.
