Pin@y Policy Leaders

This winter, L.E.A.D. Filipino will be hosting its inaugural Pin@y Policy Leaders Intensive — a ~6 week project-based course designed to educate young Pin@ys, ages 18-25, to be policy advocates in California’s legislative process.   The Intensive will be led by L.E.A.D. Filipino’s Organizers and will offer a tactical and substantive learning experience for tomorrow’s Pin@y thought leaders.

Jenna Edra, Angelica Cortez, and Vanessa Carr of L.E.A.D. Filipino meet and talk with Filipino State Assemblyman, Rob Bonta.

Pin@y Policy Leaders will appeal to individuals wishing to touch legislative processes, advocacy and the formation of public policy.

Course Benefits:

  • Serve as an ambassador for the South Bay Filipino American community.
  • Gain hands-on experience with direct advocacy on public policy concerns.
  • Learn how Filipino Americans have been subjects of disjointed and discriminatory policy — and provide solutions on how to move our community forward.
  • Bond with other like-minded Pin@ys who seek to raise the profile of Filipin@s in policy and politics.

For more information, contact Angelica Cortez.
