Ethno-Exposure Tours

SoMa Group PicA core element of our summer “Awareness in Action Program” is our weekend Ethno-Exposure Community Tours of various sites and landmarks throughout the Greater Bay Area that hold direct ties to Filipin@ American stories, struggles, and successes in our shared history.

Our Ethno-Exposure Community Tours touch upon one – or all – of the following social/public themes:

  • Civil Rights & Liberties
  • Cultural Development & Institutions
  • Labor History
  • Land Use & Exclusionary Zoning Injustice
  • Health & Human Services
  • Professions

*UPCOMING: 2018 Ethno-Exposure Community Tours

  • Saturday, August 4:  SF SoMa Pilipinas Cultural District with the staff of the Bayanihan Community Center
  • Friday, August 8-Sunday, August 10:  Delano Manongs Tour with FANHS Delano Chapter (*This is an overnight tour.)

The Awareness in Action Ethno-Exposure Community Tours are open and free to the public! We generally ask participants to cover their own costs related to meals and transit.
